1. In your classroom pack you will find 1 extra repair kit to practice on, to familiarise yourself with the activity. You can either use the Repair Guide (under Student Resources) or the Full Repair Walkthrough Video (under Teacher Resources) to help you through the steps.
  2. In your Teacher Lesson Guide (under Teacher Resources / printed out in the classroom pack) you will find a suggested lesson plan, along with FAQs, troubleshooting, and a risk assessment.
  3. Before the session, ask students to fill in the “Before” section of the feedback forms provided in your classroom pack.
  4. Students will follow the RC Car Repair Guide (under Student Resources) to work their way through the repair activity. You can either print this out or let students access it digitally.
  5. There are STEM videos in the STEM Video Folder (under Teacher Resources) which can be played at different points along the repair. Look at the presentation or lesson plan to see where to play these videos.
  6. Once the core repair is complete, there are bonus Science, Design, and Sustainability Challenges (under Student Resources) which can be completed. See the activity sheets for what bonus materials are required to complete these.
  7. Once the repair activity is finished, students should pack up their kits back into their cloth bags. Ask students to fill in the “After” section of the feedback forms provided in your classroom pack. We will provide you with a summary of the impact data!
  8. Pack up the classroom pack in the Return Shipping Bag and attach the Return Shipping Label found in the plastic wallet. We will arrange a courier collection on the arranged date - if this date has changed please let us know!
